<p>The pilot decided to make an emergency landing after there was an indication of smoke in the forward cargo hold.</p>
<p>The plane landed safely and slides were used to evacuate the 49 passengers on board. No one was hurt.</p>
<p>The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. Southwest Airlines has declared the plane out of service for inspection.</p>
