]]> A small Cessna 172 plane made an emergency landing in a field on Woodlake Road near U.S. 460, Franklin County, Kentucky, on November 27.

The plane was heading from Jacksonville, North Carolina, to Frankfort, Kentucky when it apparently experienced engine issues and was forced to land in the field.

Authorities said the plane landed uneventfully. The pilot Dean Stoops and his only passenger Cindy Stoops remained safe.

The incident is under investigation.
