Police: Small plane crash on Long Island; 1 dead, 2 critical

Four people were injured and taken to hospitals Wednesday after a small plane landed on a South Texas street and crashed into three cars, authorities said.

A twin-engine Piper PA-31 airplane has crash in the intersection of Zac Lentz Parkway and Mockingbird at approximately 3 p.m. striking three vehicles.

The extent of injuries to those in the vehicles and aircraft is currently undetermined.

Three cars and a plane were involved in the crash. It was not known if occupants of the cars and the plane were injured. Police received the call at about 3 p.m.

The space agency says this represents the first crash investigation of an aircraft on another world.
