The plane landed uneventfully. The airline later said it was a transfer flight carrying some crew members and there was no passenger in the plane at the time of incident.

The examination of aircraft showed no signs of fire however, an engine was damaged due to a bird who got stuck in a turbine.

The post Avianca Airlines Jet Returns to San José, Costa Rica first appeared on George Hatcher's Air Flight Disaster.

According to Raymond Christian, Chief Inspector Royal Cayman Islands police, the groom was arrested on charges of drinking and inappropriate conduct, while the bride was allowed to continue the flight.

The police have not revealed the details about bride’s identity but they confirm that the groom, identified as Michael Foret, 33, is a U.S. national.

Foret was later presented in front of a Cayman Islands Judge, who fined him $600 for forcing the plane to make emergency landing.

The post Delta Air Lines Flight 901 Makes Emergency Landing Due to Squabbling Couple first appeared on George Hatcher's Air Flight Disaster.

What: TACA airlines Airbus A321-200 en route from El Salvador to San José Costa Rica
Where: Costa Rica
When: October 18, 2012
Who: 146 passengers, 7 crew
Why: On touchdown, three tires burst on the wet runway, resulting in an emergency landing. The plane skidded and spun to the right and when it came to a stop, it was perpendicular to the end of the runway.

There were no injuries reported when the plane landed at 4.pm. Burst tires can often occur as the result of a hard or too fast landing.

Passengers disembarked on to the runway.

The incident is under investigation.

The post Multiple Flats on Landing in Costa Rica first appeared on George Hatcher's Air Flight Disaster.
