The ICAO sets aviation standards in safety, security, efficiency and regularity. On December 27, Antigua and Barbuda signed a memorandum of understanding that both islands are participating in the ICAO’s Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme.

The ICAO program implements safety procedures with ICAO Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPS).

The agreement will ensure Antigua and Barbuda will develop and follow associated procedures, guidance material and safety related practices.
