While distributing the National Film Award-2022 in Dhaka on Tuesday (Nov 14), she requested the producers and directors make good-quality movies.

“We don’t want movie piracy and dirty movies to be made,” she said, recalling the golden past of Bangladeshi cinema.
“We have many old movies that have a rich history. We have built the film archive building. The old movies have been restored and shown to people in digital format. The people will learn many things by seeing them,” she added.
Prime Minister Hasina handed over the National Film Award-2022 to 32 winners in 27 categories.
Renowned performers Rowshon Ara Rozina and Kamrul Alam Khan Khasru jointly received the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ for their contributions to the film industry.
