U.S. Military Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Japan

A U.S. military helicopter made an emergency landing in Okinawa, Japan, on January 8th.

Authorities said the Marine Corps AH-1 helicopter landed at a waste disposal site in Yomitan, after the crew received indication of a problem.

There were two people aboard at the time; both remained unharmed.

On January 6th, another Marines Corps helicopter had made an emergency landing in Okinawa due to a rotor problem.
