Air Wisconsin Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Tri-Cities Airport

Air Wisconsin flight ZW-4835 made an emergency landing at Tri-Cities Airport, Tennessee, on August 14th.

The plane heading from Chicago, Illinois, to Wilmington, North Carolina, was diverted due to a cracked windshield.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

American Airlines Flight Hits Coyote at Wilmington International Airport

American Airlines flight AA-5224 returned to Wilmington International Airport, North Carolina, on October 9th.

According to the airport authorities, the Canadair CRJ-900 plane hit a coyote during takeoff which caused damage to the nose gear. The crew continued takeoff but subsequently returned to Wilmington Airport.

The coyote was killed.

Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Jetblue Airways Flight Hits Severe Turbulence near Wilmington

jetBlueJetblue Airways flight B6-1348 hit severe turbulence near Wilmington, North Carolina, on October 30th.

The plane was heading from San Juan, Puerto Rico, to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Virginia, when turbulence injured several people onboard.

The plane continued for a safe landing.

JetBlue Plane Diverts to North Carolina after Medical Emergency

JetBlueA JetBlue plane had to divert and make an emergency landing at Wilmington International Airport, Wilmington, North Carolina, on April 20th.

The plane heading from New York, to Ford Lauderdale, was diverted to when a passenger onboard suffered some medical issue.

The plane landed uneventfully.

The sick passenger died shortly after landing.

Sunwing Flight Lands in Wilmington due to Medical Emergency

SunwingSunwing Flight 764 had to make an emergency landing at Wilmington International Airport, Wilmington, North Carolina, on the afternoon of December 14.

The pilot of the plane, en-route from Montreal, Canada to Freeport, Bahamas, sought permission for emergency landing after a 60-year-old passenger began experiencing heart attack symptoms midair. There were 198 people aboard at the time.

The flight landed without incident and the sick passenger was immediately taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The airline said an alternate aircraft would be arranged for the passengers.
