Pilot Injured After Small Plane Crashes in West Jordan, Utah

A small plane crashed in field in West Jordan, Utah, on August 24th.

The plane went down shortly after taking off from South Valley Regional Airport. Authorities said it struck multiple power lines and sparked a small grass fire.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, sustained minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital.

Small Plane Crashed in Orleans County, New York

A small plane crashed in a wooded area in Gaines, Orleans County, New York, on August 23rd.

The plane had just taken off from Gaines Valley Aviation Airport when it experienced a mechanical problem and went down.

The pilot, Earl Luce Jr., 64, of Brockport, was the only one aboard. He remained uninjured.

Scandinavian Airlines Flight Diverts to Canada After Loss of Cabin Pressure

Scandinavian Airlines flight SK-944 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, on April 16th.

The Airbus A340-300 plane heading from Chicago, Illinois, to Copenhagen, Denmark, was diverted due to loss of cabin pressure.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 196 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Glider Plane Crash in Arizona Leaves Pilot Wounded

A single-engine glider plane went down and crashed in Hidden Valley, Maricopa, Pinal County, Arizona, on September 16th.

Pilot, the only person onboard, was taken to hospital. His condition, however, remains unknown.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

1 Killed in Graves County Helicopter Crash

A helicopter crashed at a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) site in Graves County, Kentucky, on July 11th.

The Bell 407 helicopter went down while it was attempting to land at the site located between Paducah and Mayfield.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as John Love of Maryville, Tennessee. TVA authorities confirmed that Love had been an employee for 17 years.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Small Plane Crashed in Clermont; Two Killed

A small plane crashed in a field in Clermont, Florida, on March 12th.

Authorities said the RV-8A plane went down between South Lake Hospital and Skyridge Valley subdivision.

The plane was carrying two people at the time; both of them were killed in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Southwest Flight Diverts to San Antonio

southwest_airlines_logoSouthwest flight 987 made an emergency landing in San Antonio, Texas, on December 13.

The plane was heading from Austin to Valley International Airport, Harlingen, when the crew noticed that a part of the wing was missing and decided to divert.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 109 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

United Airlines Jet Diverts to Yampa Valley Regional Airport

United airlinesUnited Airlines flight 4919 made an emergency landing at Yampa Valley Regional Airport, Colorado, on September 30.

The de Havilland Dash 8-400 twin-turboprop aircraft, en-route from Aspen to Denver, was diverted after the pilots had to shut down its right engine due to a mechanical issue.

The plane landed safely.

No injuries were reported.
