British Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Amsterdam

British Airways flight BA-438 made an emergency landing in Amsterdam, Netherlands, on April 14th.

The Airbus A321-200 plane flying from Heathrow Airport, England, was on final approach to Amsterdam when the crew reported a nose gear steering issue and went around.

The plane subsequently landed uneventfully and was towed to the apron.

Everyone aboard remained safe.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Tennessee River

A small plane made an emergency landing in Tennessee River at Decatur, Alabama, on April 7th.

The pilot of the small seaplane said he was doing some survey work for a proposed water pipeline when the aircraft’s battery failed, forcing him to make an emergency landing.

Both occupants of the plane, including the pilot Peter Serodino, of Chattanooga, and his only passenger, remained unharmed.

The plane was towed to a nearby marina.

AirAsia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Philippines

AirAsia ZestAirAsia Flight Z2 763 had to make an emergency landing at Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Cebu, Philippines, on December 15.

It s believed that the pilots of the plane, flying from Manila, declared emergency due to a hydraulic problem in its landing gear.

According to Philippines Air Asia, “The plane had technical issue on its way to the ramp and had to be towed. Safety and engineering teams are currently checking the cause.”

There were 166 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Southwest Jets Collide at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

southwest_airlines_logoTwo Southwest Airlines jets rolled into each other at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Washington, on September 28.

The aircrafts were being prepared to be towed to gates when the nose and fuselage of one collided with the wing of the other.

No one was injured in the accident.

The aircrafts were taken out of service.
