Delta Airlines Flight Returns to St. Louis After Bird Strikes

Delta Airlines flight DL-1080 made an emergency landing in St. Louis, Missouri, on August 18th.

The Boeing 737-900 plane took off for Atlanta, Georgia, but had to turn back due to multiple bird strikes.

The plane landed back safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

SkyWest Airlines Flight Hits Severe Turbulence; 3 Injured

SkyWest Airlines flight 3167 made an emergency landing in St. Louis. Missouri, on August 22nd.

The plane heading from Atlanta, Georgia, to Chicago, Illinois, was diverted after it encountered severe turbulence.

The plane landed safely. Three people, including a flight attendant and two passengers, were taken to a hospital.

The flight was operating as American Eagle.

Condor Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in St. Louis

Condor Airlines flight DE-2114 had to divert and make an emergency landing in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 15th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane heading from Frankfurt, Germany, to Cancun, Mexico, was diverted after the crew suspected a fuel leak.

The plane landed safely. All 182 passengers and 10 crew members remained unharmed.

American Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport

American Airlines flight 534 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Missouri, on February 9th.

Authorities said the plane heading from Columbus, Ohio, to Phoenix, Arizona, was diverted for a security check.

The plane landed safely. There were 113 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

The plane was cleared after a thorough inspection and was able to depart for Phoenix.

Swift Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing at St. Louis Downtown Airport

Swift Air flight Q7-5017 had to return and make an emergency landing at St. Louis Downtown Airport, Illinois, on January 8th.

The plane took off for Los Angeles, California, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew noticed smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

The plane was carrying ice hockey team of the Dallas Stars at the time.

Trans State Plane’s Wing Tips Strike Whilst Landing

Trans State flight AX-4615/UA-4615 made a safe landing at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Saint Louis, Missouri, on February 23.

The Embraer, en-route from Chicago, Illinois, to Saint Louis, struck the wing tips onto the runway while landing.

The plane received minor damage to its wings.

All people aboard remained unharmed.

FedEx Cargo Plane Makes Emergency Landing at St. Louis International Airport

FedExA FedEx cargo plane made an emergency landing at Lambert St. Louis International Airport in St. Louis, Missouri, on the morning of February 24.

The MD-11 was en-route from Memphis to Minneapolis when a warning light indicated fire on-board. The plane was then diverted to St. Louis where it made an uneventful emergency landing at 6:15 a.m.

All 4 people aboard the plane exited through emergency slide. Authorities said one of them was examined by medics for possible injuries sustained by using emergency slide.

According to FedEx spokesperson Scott Fiedler, the aircraft’s fire safety suppression system got activated and sprayed foam inside a container. The investigators are looking into the cause of incident.

Plane Carrying MSU Basketball Team Makes Emergency Landing in St. Louis

A chartered plane, carrying Mississippi State men’s basketball team, made an emergency landing in St. Louis, Missouri, on the night of February 14.

The incident happened when the team was returning to Starkville after defeating the Missouri Tigers in Columbia, Missouri.

According to Mississippi State sports information director Gregg Ellis, the plane had to land in emergency after its right engine failed.

The plane landed uneventfully and no one was harmed.

American Airlines Flight Diverts to St. Louis

American Airlines flight 1691 was en route from Newark to Dallas Texas and diverted to Lambert Airport in St. Louis when passengers aboard the flight were concerned about a passenger’s use of an electronic device.

The person in question was taken into police custody.

The flight continued to Dallas.

The person who was the security risk was taken off the plane in police custody but released after the interview, and provided a hotel room. The passenger will be provided another flight.

Emergency Landing in St. Louis

On May 1, 2013, at Spirit of St. Louis Airport, a single engine Cessna Centurion made a belly landing.

The pilot landed, and suffered a landing gear emergency. Though the landing gear collapsed, the pilot made a belly landing on the runway without any destructive acrobatics.

The FAA is investigating.

On May 1, three other Cessna’s suffered issues:
-Cessna gear collapsed on rollout in Oakland CA
-Cessna landed gear up in Missouri
-Cessna towing banner flipped over off Louisiana runway, one minor injury
