WestJetWestjet flight WS-217 made an emergency landing in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, on November 27.

The Boeing 737-800, heading from Montreal, Québec, to Calgary, Alberta, when the crew noticed an electrical burning odor and decided to divert to Saskatoon.

The plane landed safely. There were 115 people aboard at the time; none of them were harmed.

Pilot Unharmed as Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Saskatchewan

A small plane had to make an emergency landing in a field off Highway 12 near Martensville in Saskatchewan, Canada, on November 6.

The Cessna plane had just taken off from an airfield when the pilot Daniel Cotton decided to land after noticing engine cut out. “I was completely running out of room. I didn’t have enough altitude or airspeed to turn around and come back,” he said.

The plane landed safely. The pilot remained unharmed.

Pilot Killed as Helicopter Crashes in Saskatchewan

A helicopter crashed in a field in Kinley, Saskatchewan, Canada, on October 27.

Authorities said the aircraft went down while it was heading from Calgary to Saskatoon.

The 48-year-old pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. His name has not yet been released.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Saskatchewan

A small fixed wing, prop plane had to land in emergency near a runway located north of Ituna in Saskatchewan, Canada, before 2:30 p.m. on October 10.

The aircraft developed a mechanical fault when it was on its way from Spruce Grove, Alberta, to Brandon, Manitoba, with a male pilot and a female passenger aboard.

The plane landed uneventfully and the police confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

The incident remains under investigation.

Cessna Airplane Crashed in Saskatchewan, Canada; 2 Killed

CessnaA small Cessna airplane crashed in a field near Torquay in Saskatchewan, Canada, at about 10:15 a.m. on June 15.

The plane was carrying two people at the time of the accident; both of them were killed. Their names have not yet been disclosed.

Estevan RMCP and other emergency personnel responded to the scene.

Transport Canada’s safety board is working to find the cause of accident.
