Air India Plane’s Tires Burst While Landing at Srinagar Airport

airindialogoTwo tires of an Air India plane burst during landing at Srinagar International Airport in Jammu and Kashmir, India, on June 30th.

The incident happened when the flight AI 3821 was transporting security personnel from Jammu.

There were 133 security personnel and crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

LAX Conducts Plane Crash Drill to Test Emergency Response Time

Los Angeles International Airport conducted a full-scale plane crash simulation on April 13th.

The two-hour drill, which was conducted to test the emergency response time, used a Boeing 777 plane that crashed and caught fire in a debris field.

Around 500 emergency personnel, including firefighters, participated in the exercise, while 150 volunteers acted as crash victims.

EasyJet Plane Returns to the Stand after Spanner was Spotted in the Wing

EasyjetA 25-year-old Swiss passenger prevented a potential aviation disaster after reporting that a spanner was stuck in the plane’s wing.

Just moments before the EasyJet flight EZS1465 was scheduled to take off, Christophe spotted the spanner and immediately told the airline personnel.

According to the airline, “easyJet can confirm that EZS1465 from Geneva to Copenhagen on 4 March retuned to stand prior to departure from Geneva as a result of a passenger informing crew about noticing an object in the wing… In line with our procedures, the captain took the decision to return to stand for it to be investigated. A spanner was discovered and removed and the flight departed with a small delay.”

The incident is being investigated.

United Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing at McAllen Miller International Airport

United ExpressUnited Express flight 4020 operated by Mesa Airlines made an emergency landing at McAllen Miller International Airport in Hidalgo County, Texas, on January 28.

The airline said that the ATC declared a ‘precautionary emergency’ after a brake light indicator came on.

The Embraer 175 plane landed uneventfully. There were 41 people aboard the plane; all of them remained unhurt.

The maintenance personnel inspected the plane and cleared it to continue the flight to Houston.

Border Security Force Plane Crashed in New Delhi; 10 Killed

A Border Security Force (BSF) plane crashed near Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Dehli, India, on December 22.

The Beech SuperKing B200 aircraft, carrying 10 BSF personnel, went down just after taking off from the Delhi airport. Authorities believe the plane’s left engine stopped working, causing it to crash into the wall of airport’s sewage treatment plant and ending up in the water.

All ten personnel aboard the plane were killed in the crash.

The accident is being investigated.
