Iberia Express Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Spain

Iberia Express flight IB-3913 had to return and make an emergency landing in Palma, Majorca, Spain, on January 23rd.

The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Madrid, Spain, but had to return shortly afterwards due to indication of a cabin pressure problem.

The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Transavia Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

Transavia flight HV-6757 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Netherlands, on July 16th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Groningen, Netherlands, to Palma, Majorca, Spain, was diverted due to a bird strike.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Germanwings Flight Rejects Takeoff due to Engine Failure

Germanwings flight 4U-4099 had to reject takeoff from Palma, Majorca, Spain, on April 6th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to take off for Dortmund, Germany, when one of the engines emitted a loud bang. The crew subsequently rejected take off and safely returned to the apron.

All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Thomas Cook Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Bird Strike

Thomas CookThomas Cook Airlines flight MT-3496 made an emergency landing in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, on August 11th.

The Airbus A321-200 plane took off from Palma in Majorca, Spain, when the crew reported a bird strike and decided to turn back for an emergency landing.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 197 passengers and 8 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Spanish Tourists Die on Tourist Flight

On May 24, 2013, a privately owned Cessna 172 had just taken off from Son Bonet de Marratxi airfield, failed to gain altitude and crashed in a field.

There were three passengers from Spain aboard–22 and 26 year old men and a 36 year old woman–and the pilot; only the 22 year old Argentinean pilot survived. The pilot was badly injured.

The plane normally offered tourists flights around the Balearic Islands.

The accident is under investigation
