IndiGo flight 6E-685 had to reject takeoff from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, India, on May 18th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane was accelerating to takeoff for Mumbai, India, when the crew noticed an engine issue and rejected takeoff.

Authorities said the plane, flying from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, had reached its scheduled destination in New Delhi on time but the ATC advised the pilots to divert to Lucknow due to poor weather conditions. Shortly before reaching the airport in Lucknow, the pilots received low fuel indication and declared an emergency.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

Indigo Flight Diverts to Lucknow Due to Medical Emergency

IndiGo AirlinesAn Indigo flight had to divert and make an emergency landing at Chaudhury Charan Singh airport, Lucknow, India, on June 14.

According to airport director SC Hota, “Indigo flight from Bhubaneswar to Delhi had to make emergency landing at the airport here at 8:17 PM yesterday as a passenger Shivkumar Panigrahi (52) had cardiac arrest.”

The plane landed uneventfully.

The sick passenger was rushed to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Air India Plane Makes Emergency Landing with Cracked Windshield

The plane was heading from Bhubaneshwar to New Delhi when a bird hit it, causing a cockpit glass pane to crack. The pilot immediately reported the situation to ATC and requested an emergency landing.

The plane landed uneventfully and all 169 passengers aboard remained unharmed.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

PAF Jet Stops for Refuelling in India

PAFA Pakistan Air Force plane made a stop at the Chowdhury Charan Singh Airport in Lucknow, India, on January 25.

The Phenom-100 jet was flying from Rawalpindi, Pakistan, when it had to land at the Indian airport for refuelling.

According to District Magistrate Rajshekhar, “There was no emergency. There was a Pakistani aircraft movement, that is PAAF-854 from Rawalpindi to Lucknow which landed at 1201 hours on Sunday and departed for Chittagong at 1252 hours.”

Pakistan Air Force spokesperson confirmed the landing however, he said that the plane was en-route to Singapore for inspection.

The plane was carrying 5 military officials at the time.

7 Killed in Indian Air Force Helicopter Crash

helicopterA helicopter belonging to the Indian Air force crashed in Sitapur district of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh state of India.

The helicopter, which was en route from Bareilly to Allahabad, crashed nose down and bursted into flames. The accident happened on July 25 at about 5 p.m. after the Dhruv helicopter lost radio and radar contact. According to the authorities, the pilot reported a technical fault in the helicopter before losing contact.

There were 2 pilots and 5 passengers aboard at the time of accident; all of them were killed. A statement released by the air force maintained that there was no report of any damage on the ground.

Pakistani Chartered Plane Lands in Lucknow for Re-fuelling

A Pakistani aircraft en-route to Dhaka from Lahore made an emergency landing in Lucknow due to a fuel shortage.

The aircraft, chartered by some unknown company safely landed at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in the afternoon of May 6.

The pilot of the aircraft informed the Lucknow air traffic control about the fuel shortage while flying over Uttar Pradesh. The ATC granted permission for landing after obtaining necessary clearances from all concerned.

The ATC officials said the aircraft was parked at a remote bay during the re-fuelling. All the passengers remained inside the plane.

UP Chief Minister’s Chopper Landed in Emergency

Akhilesh YadavA chopper carrying the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh (UP), Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav had to make an emergency landing at Amausi airport, Lucknow, India.

According to the authorities, the decision for emergency landing was made after an eagle struck the front window pane of the chopper, at a height of 3000 feet. The pilots then made an uneventful emergency landing at Lucknow airport, which was about 12 km away at the time of incident.

The chief minister, along with his wife, was returning back after attending the last rituals of his uncle Ratan Singh Yadav in Saifai, Etawah District of UP. His private chopper was originally scheduled to land in La Martiniere college, near his residence.
