PNG Air Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Papua New Guinea

PNG Air flight CG-8622 had to return and make an emergency landing in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, on May 24th.

The plane, heading to Mount Hagen, Papua New Guinea, had to turn back due to a low oil pressure indication for left engine.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Thomson Flight Made Emergency Landing in Portugal

Thomson airwaysA Thomson Airways flight had to make an emergency landing at the Lajes airport in Portugal, at about 4:13 a.m. Lisbon time on August 5.

The twin-engine aircraft Boeing 787-800 aircraft was on its way from Dominican Republic to Manchester, UK when the crew had to shut down its right hand engine due to an indication of low oil pressure.

The plane was then diverted towards Lajes airport where it made a safe emergency landing. All 288 passengers remained safe.

The passengers were provided a replacement aircraft which took them to their destination.
