United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Lexington

United Airlines flight UA-4183 had to return and make an emergency landing in Lexington, Kentucky, on June 12th.

The plane took off for Houston, Texas, but had to turn back due to an issue with the nose gear.

The plane landed back safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashes at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport; 2 Injured

A nine-seat single-engine plane crashed at Savannah-Hilton Head International Airport, Georgia, on January 6.

Authorities said the Cobalt Air 727, a Pilatus PC-12 plane, developed some issues while it was taking off for Lexington, Kentucky. The pilot was attempting to land back when the plane ran off the runway 1 and came to stop in a ditch.

There were two people aboard at the time; both of them were injured. They were taken to Memorial University Medical Centre.

The FAA will investigate.

Small Plane makes Emergency landing on I-85 due to Engine Trouble

A small plane had to divert and make an emergency landing on Interstate-85 near Lexington, Davidson County, North Carolina, on November 16.

The plane, en-route from Dayton, Tennessee, to Silver City, New Mexico, had to divert due to an engine trouble.

The pilot tried to land at Davidson County Airport, but could not make it.

The plane landed safely. No one was injured.

American Eagle Flight Returns to Lexington

American eagleAn American Eagle flight had to return and make an emergency landing at Blue Grass Airport, Lexington, Kentucky, on the night of December 23.

The flight, heading from Lexington to Chicago, had to turn back after the crew reported an electrical smell on board.

The plane landed uneventfully shortly after 7 p.m. None of the 7 passengers and 3 crew members aboard was injured.

The airline said the passengers will be accommodated in other flights.

US Airways Flight Returned to Bluegrass Airport for Emergency Landing

US AirwaysA US Airways flight returned to Bluegrass Airport, Lexington, Kentucky, immediately after taking off at around 12:40 p.m. on June 14 and made a safe emergency landing.

The small plane was scheduled to go to Philadelphia with 33 people on-board.

Airport officials said that the decision for emergency landing was made after the thrust reverser of the plane, which is used to slow the plane down during a landing, got overheated.
