Flybe Flight Diverts to Manchester After First Officer Becomes Incapacitated

Flybe flight BE-1574 had to make an emergency landing in Manchester, England, on August 5th.

The plane heading from Inverness, Scotland, to Jersey, Channel Islands, was diverted after the first officer became incapacitated.

The plane landed safely. All forty-four passengers aboard remained unharmed

The first officer was taken to hospital.

EasyJet Flight Returns to Liverpool After Bird Strike

EasyJet flight U2-7021 had to return and make an emergency landing in Liverpool, England, on July 13th.

The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for Jersey, Channel Islands, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a bird strike.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Cayman Islands

Southwest Airlines flight WN-607 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on April 13th.

The Boeing 737-700 plane heading from San Jose, Costa Rica, to Baltimore, Maryland, was diverted after an electrical odor was noticed in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. There were 123 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Cayman Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Electrical Odor

Cayman Airways flight KX-793 had to make an emergency landing in Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on April 13th.

The Boeing 737-300 plane was flying from John F. Kennedy International Airport, New York, when the crew declared an emergency due to an electrical odor in the cabin.

The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Passengers Safely Rescued in Float Plane Crash over San Juan Islands

kenmore-airA Kenmore Air float plane crashed in the waters of San Juan Islands, Lopez Island, Washington, on September 30th.

The De Havilland Turbine Beaver took off from Seattle and crashed forty five minutes later.

All 4 people onboard survived with non-life threatening injuries.

The pilot and three passengers were rescued and transported to hospital.

British Aerospace Jetstream 32 Makes Emergency Landing in Quebec

A Jetstream 32 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Bonaventure Airport, Quebec, Canada, on March 30th.

The aircraft was carrying the late Canadian Parliament member Jean Lapierre’s brother-in-law from Montreal and was on its way to Magdalen Islands, when the crew encountered some problem with the engine, prompting the plane to divert.

The plane landed successfully.

All people onboard remained unhurt.

Former Canadian Minister Jean Lapierre and 6 Others Die in Plane Crash

A small plane crashed in the Magdalen Islands, Quebec, Canada, on March 29th.

The private plane, transporting Jean Lapierre, 59, a broadcaster and former Canadian transport minister, and his family members to his father’s funeral, went down while approaching the Iles-de-la-Madeleine Airport amid heavy winds and snow.

All seven people aboard, including the pilot, the co-pilot, Lapierre, and his family members, were killed in the crash.

The incident is being investigated.

Jeju Air Flight Diverts to Iwo Jima Airbase

jeju airJeju Air flight 7C-3402 had to make an emergency landing at Iwo Jima Airbase in Iwo Jima, Japan, on March 4th.

The plane was en-route from Seoul, South Korea, to Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands, when the crew shut down right hand engine due to severe vibrations and requested an emergency landing.

The plane landed safely. There were 131 people aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.
