According to sources, the man flying the helicopter was seriously injured in the crash. He was taken to hospital.

Emirates Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Australia after Descending Below Assigned Altitude

EmiratesEmirates Airlines flight EK-407 made a safe emergency landing at Melbourne Airport, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, on July 14th.

The Airbus A380-800 en-route from Auckland, New Zealand was on approach to Melbourne’s runway when it was descended below the minimum assigned altitude, and climbed back after receiving instruction from the ATC.

The plane landed successfully. All people onboard remained unharmed.

An investigation regarding the occurrence has been initiated.

Small Plane Crashes in Westwood, MA; 2 Injured

A Piper PA-24 plane crashed into the woods off Peartree Drive in Westwood, Massachusetts, on July 16th.

The single-engine plane was trying to land at Norwood Memorial Airport when it went down.

There were two people aboard at the time, including the pilot and his passenger; both of them sustained serious injuries. They were taken to hospital.

AeromexicoAeromexico flight AM-421 had to reject takeoff at a high speed at Mexico City International Airport, Mexico City, Mexico, on July 13th.

The Boeing 737-700 was accelerating to takeoff for Merida, Mexico, when the crew saw another aircraft on the runway, prompting the plane to stop.

1 Killed in Graves County Helicopter Crash

A helicopter crashed at a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) site in Graves County, Kentucky, on July 11th.

The Bell 407 helicopter went down while it was attempting to land at the site located between Paducah and Mayfield.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as John Love of Maryville, Tennessee. TVA authorities confirmed that Love had been an employee for 17 years.

The Cessna 172 was carrying two people when it hit power lines and went down just west of N.M. 28.

The state police said in a statement, “A single-seat, experimental aircraft was conducting a high-speed taxi on the runway of the Stafford Regional Airport, when the aircraft unintentionally lifted off the runway…The aircraft cleared the Centreport Parkway before crash-landing into an embankment alongside the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 at the 137 mile marker.”

The pilot Roberta A. Boucher, 62, was seriously injured in the incident. She taken to Mary Washington Hospital.

Pilot Injured after Medical Helicopter Crash-Landed in Tennessee

A medical helicopter crash-landed in Mountain City, Tennessee, on June 3rd.

The incident happened after the aircraft, belonging to Wellmont Health System and PHI Air Medical, was dispatched to pick up a car crash victim.

According to a statement released by Wellmont Health System and PHI Air Medical, “Soon after liftoff, the pilot, an employee of PHI Air Medical, which owns and operates the aircraft, identified a mechanical condition that required immediate landing. He executed emergency procedures to bring the aircraft to the ground, limiting risk to the passengers and damage to the aircraft.”

The pilot was injured in the incident. He was taken to hospital.

A small plane crashed at the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton, Montana, on June 4th.

The aircraft went down when it was transporting three passengers from Nabire to a mining site in Degewo.
