The Airbus A321-200N plane heading from Baku, Azerbaijan, to Hanoi, Vietnam, was diverted after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Vietjet flight VJ-198 made an emergency landing in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, on November 19th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane took off for Hanoi, Vietnam, but had to turn back due to indication of an issue with the fuel system.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Cathay Dragon Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Hong Kong

Cathay Dragon flight KA-296 made an emergency landing in Hong Kong, China, on June 16th.

The Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Hanoi, Vietnam, was descending toward Hong Kong when the crew noticed smell of smoke in the cockpit and requested priority landing.

The plane landed safely. There were one hundred and fifty-nine people aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Vietnam Airlines Plane Returns to Hanoi due to Engine Shut Down

Vietnam airlinesVietnam Airlines flight VN-249 had to return and make an emergency landing at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, Vietnam, on August 15.

The Boeing 777-200 en-route to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, had to return due to engine problem. The crew had to shut its engine down mid-air.

The plane landed safely.

All 229 people aboard remained unhurt.

Vietjet Plane Makes Safe Landing at Noi Bai Airport after Bird Strike

The Airbus A320-200, flying from Buon Ma Thuot, Vietnam, to Hanoi, was hit by a bird upon approaching the runway.

The aircraft’s weather radar sustained damage while its radome was also reshaped due to the bird strike.

No injuries were reported.

Plane Experiences Technical Issue, Vietnam Airlines Pilot Accidentally Sends Hijacking Signal

Vietnam airlinesVietnam Airlines flight VN1266 had to make an emergency landing at Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi, Vietnam, on the afternoon of December 16.

The pilot of the flight, en-route from Ho Chi Minh City to Vinh, sought permission for emergency landing after the cabin began de-pressurizing and oxygen masks deployed. However, instead of sending the ’general emergency’ code 7700, the pilot mistakenly sent code 7500 which means ‘unlawful interference’.

Emergency services were ready at the scene to handle hijacking situation when the Airbus A321-200 landed safely. None of the 140 people aboard was harmed.

The situation later got cleared and the airline released a statement confirming that the emergency landing was due to a technical issue and there was no hijacking incident.

The incident is under investigation.
