Air New Zealand Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Hydraulic Problems

Air New Zealand flight NZ-5015 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Hamilton, New Zealand, on September 15th.

The plane heading from Auckland to Napier, New Zealand, was diverted due to hydraulic problems.

The plane landed safely. There were sixty-six passengers and four crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Air Nelson Plane makes Safe landing in Canada after Unsafe Gear Indication

Air Nelson flight NZ-8242 made a safe landing at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, on May 12th.

The de Havilland Dash 8-300 flying from Palmerston North was about to reach when it had to enter a hold due to unsafe gear indication.

The plane landed safely.

All 30 people aboard remained safe.

Cargojet Flight Returns to Cologne due to Engine Issue

Cargojet flight W8-1894 made an emergency landing in Cologne, Germany, on December 12th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Hamilton, Canada, but had to turn back due to an engine problem.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Small Plane Crashed at Ravalli County Airport

A small plane crashed at the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton, Montana, on June 4th.

The plane was attempting to land at the airport when its left wing struck the ground, causing it to flip over. The plane was flying from Idaho at the time.

There were three people aboard, including the pilot and two passengers; one of them was injured in the incident while the other two remained unharmed.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Virgin Australia Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Brisbane

Virgin Australia flight VA-1280 made an emergency landing in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, on February 23nd.

The Boeing 737-800, heading from Hamilton Island, to Sydney, Australia, was diverted after the crew noticed an unusual odor in the cabin.

The plane landed uneventfully. All 160 people aboard remained safe.

Cargo Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Hamilton

Hamilton International AirportA DC-10-30F cargo plane had to return and make an emergency landing at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport in Ontario, Canada, on at about 5:30 p.m. on February 11.

Emergency was declared aboard the plane, owned by Kelowna Flightcraft, after the crew reported “an abnormal smell” in the cockpit. The flight was heading from Hamilton to Calgary at the time.

The plane landed uneventfully and all 3 crew members on-board remained unharmed.

According to Company spokesperson Grant Stevens, a burnt out electrical component is believed to be the cause of smell.
