China Southern Airlines Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Guangzhou

China SouthernChina Southern Airlines flight CZ3739 was forced to make an emergency landing in Guangzhou, Guangdong province of China, at around 9:40 p.m. on November 10.

The aircraft was en-route from Zhuhai, Guangdong to Beijing, when the crew sought permission for an emergency landing. According to the airline, the plane experienced a mechanical engine failure.

The flight landed safely and no injuries were reported.

An alternate aircraft was arranged which departed for Beijing at 1:20 a.m. on November 11.

The incident is under investigation.
