Jet Airways Bhuj-Mumbai Flight Makes Uneventful Landing Due to False Bomb Threat

A Jet Airways local flight in India had to make an emergency landing due to a bomb threat.

The flight 9W 2536, set from Bhuj  to Mumbai, was on its way when the Bhuj airport director received an anonymous call, stating that there is a bomb in the air plane. Consequently, a full emergency was declared at the Mumbai Airport, with ambulances and fire tenders ready at the scene.

The flight landed at 10:37 am and all 60 passengers and 5 crew members were safely evacuated.

The air craft was later declared safe, after a two hour long security check.
