Denver Bound Delta Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Potential Security Threat

DeltaDelta Airlines flight 1500 received a potential security threat, after which it was landed and sent to a remote location on Denver International Airport on April 18.

The flight, carrying 151 passengers and 6 crew members, was headed from Detroit to Denver when the authorities received a potential threat. While the nature of the threat is not clear, some sources report that one of the flight attendants on board saw a written note mentioning a ‘bomb’ in the plane.

The plane safely landed at Denver International Airport at about 4:40pm and was taken to a remote taxiway. The passengers were immediately taken to a separate place where the FBI investigated them.

By 10pm, all the passengers and crew members were cleared by the FBI and no arrests were made.

According to the FBI spokesman Dave Joly, “We currently do not believe a creditable threat existed to the flight….The majority of the Delta Flight 1500 passengers have been allowed to claim their luggage and continue with their travel plans.”
