Massachusetts Plane Crash Kills 7

A Gulfstream IV aircraft caught fire in the air at around 9:40 p.m on May 31 and went down in Hanscom Field, Massachusetts, about 20 miles northwest of Boston.

The plane left Hanscom Field for Atlantic City International Airport but came down shortly after taking off.

There were seven people aboard the plane at the time of accident; all of them were killed when it erupted into a fireball 60 feet in the air.

The victims included Lewis Katz, 72, a Philadelphia media mogul, and former owner of the New Jersey Devils and New Jersey Nets, and Anne Leeds – the wife of a municipal New Jersey politician. The names of other victims have not so far been released by the authorities.

The National Transportation Safety Board has started an investigation to determine the reasons of the plane crash.
