United Airlines Plane Returns to McCarran International Airport

United Flight 1179 had to return and make an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, California, on February 10th.

The Boeing 737 plane took off for Houston, Texas, but had to return shortly afterwards due to engine overheating.

The plane landed safely. All 162 passengers aboard remained unhurt.

Jet Airways Flight Diverts to Yangon International Airport

Jet AirwaysJet Airways flight 9W-070 had to return and make an emergency landing at Yangon International Airport, Myanmar, on January 5.

The Boeing 737 plane took off from the Chhtrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India, and was heading to Bangkok, Thailand, when the pilots decided to return due to a technical snag.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 184 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The airline arranged an alternate plane for the passengers.

AA Plane Returns to Las Vegas after Bird Strike

american airlinesAmerican Airlines flight 334 had to return and make an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport, Las Vegas, Nevada, on November 9.

The Boeing 737 plane was departing for Chicago when a bird struck it, prompting the pilot to return.

The plane landed safely. There were 156 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The passengers were accommodated in other flights.
