EasyJet Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Greece

EasyJet flight U2-1110 had to return and make an emergency landing in Thessaloniki, Greece, on May 30th.

The Airbus A319-100 plane took off for EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, France, but had to return shortly afterwards due to a technical problem.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 152 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

British Airways Flight Returns to EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg

British Airways flight BA-9272 had to return and make an emergency landing at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, France, on May 22nd.

The Airbus A321-200 plane took off for Heathrow Airport, England, but had turn back after the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

The plane landed back uneventfully. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Brussels Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Smoke and Burning Odor

Brussels Airlines flight SN-241 had to divert and make an emergency landing at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg, France, on January 2nd.

The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Monrovia, Liberia, to Brussels, Belgium, was diverted after the crew noticed smoke and a burning odor aboard.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Swiss European Airlines Flight Diverted to Stansted Due to Engine Fire

A Swiss European Airlines flight LX-487 had to make an emergency landing at London Stansted Airport, after one of its engines caught fire.

The plane was en route from London City to Basel on the night of Sunday April 27. During the initial climb, its right hand engine caught fire, after which the crew decided to halt the climb at the altitude of 5000 feet and shut down the engine. The plane was then diverted to the Stansted Airport, where it made an uneventful emergency landing, around 30 minutes after it took off.

All 82 passengers and 4 crew members exited safely. The flight was cancelled and the passengers were accommodated in another flight from London’s Heathrow Airport.
