Southwest Airlines Flight Suffers Bird Strike Near BWI Airport

Southwest Airlines flight WN-3095 suffered a bird strike near Baltimore, Maryland, on March 17th.

The Boeing 737-700 plane flying from Norfolk, Virginia, was on final approach to Baltimore–Washington International Airport when it hit a flock of geese.

The plane continued for a safe landing. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

Bird-Struck Southwest Flight Makes Emergency Landing at BWI

southwestnySouthwest Airlines flight 3118 was forced to make an emergency landing at Baltimore–Washington International Airport, Maryland, at 8:49 p.m. on December 12.

Emergency protocols were deployed at the airport after the pilot reported a bird strike. The flight from San Antonio was approaching BWI at the time.

The plane landed safely and all 142 passengers and 5 crew members remained unharmed.

The aircraft was taken for examination.
