Plane Crash in the Bahamas Leaves 3 Dead

A small plane crashed near Rock Sound International Airport in the Bahamas, on June 5th.

The plane, carrying three American men, went down shortly after taking off from the airport.

All three occupants of the plane were killed in the crash.

It is believed that the plane was heading to Fort Pierce, Florida at the time.

Western Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Nassau, Bahamas

Western Air flight WT-702 made an emergency landing in Nassau, Bahamas, on February 7th.

The plane was flying from Grand Bahamas International Airport when the crew needed to shut down one of the engines.

The plane continued for a safe landing. All 20 passengers and 3 crew members aboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed in the Bahamas; Two Killed

A small plane crashed at South Bimini Airport in the Bahamas, on June 19th.

The Piper Aztec 27 plane, carrying two people, went down minutes after it took off from the airport.

Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

The accident is being investigated.

Caribbean Airlines Plane makes Safe Landing in Florida after Cabin Pressure Loss

Caribbean AirlinesCaribbean Airlines flight BW-480 made a safe emergency landing at Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood International Airport, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on June 1st.

The Boeing 737-800, en-route from Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, was mid-air above Bahamas when the crew had to initiate an emergency descent after encountering loss of cabin pressure.

The plane landed safely.

All people onboard remained unharmed.

JetBlue Flight Lands without Landing Gear in Bahamas

JetBlueJetBlue flight B6-29 had to make an emergency landing at Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau, Bahamas on March 25.

The Embraer ERJ, en-route from Washington, DC to Nassau, Bahamas was on approach to runway when the crew reported that the nose gear was inoperable, went around for a while and upon failing to retract the gear, attempted for a landing.

The plane landed successfully.

All 95 people aboard remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed Off Of Bimini; Pilot Rescued

SeaA small plane crashed around 5 miles east of South Bimini in the Bahamas, shortly before 2 p.m. on December 22.

The Air Force Rescue Coordination Center authorities informed the Miami Coast Guard 7th District watchstanders about a Cessna which was last seen on radar descending near South Bimini Airport, Bahamas. The Coast Guard watchstanders then deployed an HC-130 Hercules plane which located the submerged aircraft and the pilot shortly before 4 p.m.

The pilot, identified as 43-year-old David Pedroza, of Boca Raton, Florida, was transported to Air Station Miami. Authorities said he was in stable condition.

It is believed that the Cessna was en-route from Norman Cay, Bahamas, to Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport when it crashed.

Small Plane Crashed near the Bahamas; 1 Dead, 10 Injured

SeaA Navajo Chieftain aircraft, operated by Ferguson Air and conducting a charter flight for Southern Air, crashed near New Providence Island in the Bahamas on December 2.

The plane took off from Governor’s Harbour in Eleuthera Island and was making an approach to the Lynden Pindling International Airport in New Providence airport when it lost power. According to the police, the pilot informed the authorities that he was facing some problems and attempted to bring the plane near shallow water before it crashed.

A 77-year-old U.S. man was killed in the accident. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

The other 10 people, including the pilot, were injured and were shifted to Doctors Hospital in Nassau.

Prominent Pastor Myles Munroe, Wife Killed in Bahamas Plane Crash

A private Lear 36 Executive aircraft crashed near Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport, Bahamas, on November 9.

The aircraft, which took off from Nassau with 9 people aboard, crashed at around 5 p.m. Authorities said that it struck a shipping container crane while it was trying to land in heavy rain.

According to Ministry of Transport and Aviation, “The Department of Civil Aviation has been advised unofficially that the aircraft was destroyed and that there were no survivors.”

The deceased include a prominent Bahamian pastor Dr. Myles Munroe and his wife Ruth.

The cause of accident remains under investigation.
