FlyEgypt Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Cairo

FlyEgypt flight FT-241 made an emergency landing in Cairo, Egypt, on February 5th.

The Boeing 737-800 plane heading from Alexandria, Egypt, to Kuwait City, Kuwait, was diverted after the crew noticed smell of smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

The Airbus A320-200 plane en-route from Alexandria, Egypt, to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, was diverted after the crew noticed a leak in one of the main cabin doors.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 111 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

Air Arabia Egypt Plane Diverts to Cairo due to Engine Issues

Air ArabiaAir Arabia Egypt flight E5-337 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Cairo, Egypt, on June 29th.

The Airbus A320-200, heading from Borg El Arab Airport, Alexandria Governorate, Egypt, to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was diverted due to problems with an engine.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 120 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

U.S. Air Force Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Alexandria

HelicopterA U.S. Air Force chopper made an emergency landing at a school in Alexandria, Virginia, on April 30.

Local officials said the helicopter experienced mechanical issues and landed just next to William Ramsay Elementary School at around 10:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
