Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport

An 8-passenger plane made an emergency landing at Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport, Virginia, on November 2nd.

The Cessna 550 plane flying from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Meridian, Mississippi, was diverted after it lost oil pressure in one of the engines, causing a loss of cabin pressure.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unharmed.

American Airlines Plane Diverts to New York after Pilot’s Death Mid-Air

American EagleAmerican Airlines Flight 550 diverted and made an emergency landing at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, New York, at around 7:13 A.M. on October 17.

The Airbus A320, en-route to Boston, Massachusetts, from Phoenix, Arizona, had to be diverted due to a medical emergency involving death of the pilot, Mr. Johnston, mid-air.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 147 passengers aboard remained unhurt.

AA Jet Forced to Make Emergency Landing in Syracuse after Pilot Dies

American AirlinesAmerican Airlines flight 550 had to make an emergency landing at Syracuse Hancock International Airport, New York, on October 5.

The co-pilot of the Airbus A320, en-route from Phoenix to Boston, diverted to Syracuse after the the pilot, Capt. Michael Johnston, 57, of Utah, suffered a heart attack and passed away mid-air.

The plane landed safely. There were 147 passengers aboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

The airline said in a statement, “Unfortunately, our pilot passed away…We are incredibly saddened by this event, and we are focused on caring for our pilot’s family and colleagues.”
