Skywest Plane Diverts to Pennsylvania due to Thrust Reversers Indication

Skywest flight OO-4906/DL-4906 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Erie International Airport, Erie County, Pennsylvania, on September 21st.

The Canadair CRJ-200 flying on behalf of Delta Airlines was mid-air when the crew reported indication of thrust reversers deployment, causing the diversion.

The plane landed safely.

All 34 passengers and 3 crew members remained safe.

Qatar Airways Flight Makes Emergency Landing After Pilot Suffers Heart Attack

Qatar Airways flight QR-964 had to make an emergency landing at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad, India, on August 26th.

The plane heading from Doha, Qatar, to Bali, Indonesia, was diverted after one of the pilots suffered a heart attack.

The plane landed uneventfully. The pilot, Andre Dinu, 34, was rushed to Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills.

TAROM Airlines Plane Rejects Take Off due to Landing Gear Vibrations

TAROMTAROM Airlines flight RO-717 had to reject take off from Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport, Romania, on October 13th.

The plane was accelerating to take off for Iasi, Romania, when the crew reported strong vibrations in the landing gear and rejected take off.

The plane safely returned to the apron. All 34 passengers and 4 crew members remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

Several Injured after Malaysia Airlines Flight Runs into Severe Turbulence

Malaysia AirlinesMalaysia Airlines flight MH-1 experienced severe turbulence over the Bay of Bengal, on June 5th.

The Airbus A380-800 plane was flying from Heathrow Airport, London, United Kingdom, when it ran into severe turbulence that injured around 34 people.

The plane landed uneventfully. The airline said that a small number of passengers and crew members required medical assistance.

The plane was carrying 378 people at the time.

2 Feared Dead as Norwegian Postal Plane Crashes in Sweden

A Norwegian postal plane crashed in a remote mountainous area near the Akkajaure reservoir in Lapland region of northern Sweden, on January 8.

The Canadair CRJ 200 aircraft was carrying mail from Oslo to Tromso, Norway, when it went down. According to Daniel Lindblad, spokesman for the Swedish Maritime Administration, “They sent a very brief ‘mayday’ and then the plane disappeared from our radar. The weather conditions weren’t harsh.”

There were two people aboard the plane, including the 42-year-old captain and a 34-year-old first officer; both of them are feared dead.

The plane was being operated by West Atlantic.
