Allegiant flight G4-676 had to divert and make an emergency landing at McGhee Tyson Airport, Tennessee, on April 30th.

The McDonnell Douglas MD-83 flying from Orlando Sanford, Florida, to Flint, Michigan, had to divert due to a sensor malfunction.

The plane landed safely.

All 150 passengers and 6 crew members remained unhurt.

United Airlines Flight Rejects Take Off From Chicago O’Hare International Airport

United Airlines flight UA-306 had to reject take off from O’Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois, on February 20th.

The Boeing 737-900 plane was accelerating to take off for Fort Myers, Florida, when the crew rejected take off due to some issues.

The plane flying from Lahore, Pakistan, to Heathrow Airport, London, United Kingdom, was diverted due to a bomb threat.

Student Pilot Survives Small Plane Crash in Massachusetts

A small Cessna 150 lost power and crash landed in Littleton, Massachusetts, on August 19th.

According to sources the plane was at 2000 feet when it was seen coming down and crashing into a wooded area.

The pilot was successfully pulled out of the plane and received no injuries.

Authorities said one of the tires had burst as the plane took off from Islamabad, Pakistan. The plane was bound for Manchester, United Kingdom, at the time.

LAX Conducts Plane Crash Drill to Test Emergency Response Time

Los Angeles International Airport conducted a full-scale plane crash simulation on April 13th.

The two-hour drill, which was conducted to test the emergency response time, used a Boeing 777 plane that crashed and caught fire in a debris field.

Around 500 emergency personnel, including firefighters, participated in the exercise, while 150 volunteers acted as crash victims.

GoAir Flights Diverts to Nagpur Over Bomb Threat

GoAirGoAir flight G8 243 made an emergency landing in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India, on January 23.

The plane, heading from Bhubaneshwar to Mumbai, was diverted after the authorities received a call saying there was a bomb in the aircraft.

The plane landed safely. There were 150 passengers onboard at the time; all of them remained unhurt.

An airline spokerspon said, “After deplaning the 150 passengers, checks were conducted by the airport security and there was no bomb found onboard the aircraft. Post clearance from the authorities, the passengers are now being boarded and flight is scheduled to take off at 12 noon to Mumbai. The GoAir officials at Bhubaneshwar immediately informed the local and the police is investigating the matter.”

Mahan Air Plane Skids Off Runway, Crashes into Concrete Barrier at Istanbul Airport

mahanA Mahan Air plane crashed into a concrete barrier at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Turkey, on December 24.

The Airbus A310 plane, performing flight W5-112 from Tehran, Iran, skidded off the runway and crashed into a concrete barrier.

There were 150 passengers aboard at the time; all of them were evacuated safely.

The cause of crash is under investigation.

Cessna Makes Emergency Landing on Key Biscayne Golf Course

A Cessna 150 aircraft made an emergency landing on a golf course in Key Biscayne, Florida, on October 26.

The plane was en-route from Miami-Opa-locka Executive Airport to Miami Executive Airport when the pilot noticed an engine problem and decided to make an emergency landing at Crandon Golf course.

The plane struck some palm trees while landing and sustained damage to one of its wings.

The pilot and his only passenger remained uninjured.

The aircraft is owned by a company in Wilmington, Delaware.

Two Killed in Madison County Plane Crash

CessnaA single-engine Cessna 150 crashed in Eaton, Madison County, New York, on September 20.

The plane, carrying 2 Colgate University students, went down shortly after taking off from Hamilton Municipal Airport.

Both occupants of the ill-fated plane were killed in the crash. They were identified as Cathryn Depuy, 18, and Ryan Adams, 18.

The FAA is investigating.

Small Plane Crashes in Camden County; Pilot Killed

Plane crashA Cessna 150 crashed into woods in Camden County, New Jersey, on September 12.

Authorities said the plane, that took off from Camden County Airport, went down behind the homes on Jackson Road, Atco section.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as 65-year-old David Sees, of Marlton.

The FAA is investigating the cause of crash.
