Authorities said the plane apparently nose-dived shortly after it took off from a Tadoussac airstrip for a sightseeing tour.

There were 6 people aboard the plane, including the pilot Romain Desrosiers, a British family of 4 and another passenger Emilie Delaitre, 28, of France. All of them were killed.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Pilot Walks Away After Ultralight Plane Crashed in Maine

UltralightAn ultralight plane crash-landed in woods off Porter Road, Fryeburg, Maine on the afternoon of August 23rd.

The single-seater Aerolite 103, flying from Leavitt Airport, New Hampshire, crashed while attempting an emergency landing at Eastern Slopes Regional Airport, Fryeburg, due to engine failure.

The pilot, a 56-year-old Pennsylvania man, remained unharmed.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Ontario

A small plane had to make an emergency landing on a private airstrip in Grey Highlands, Ontario, Canada, at around 1:44 P.M. on August 16th.

The plane, en-route to Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, Ontario, from Brampton, Ontario, had to make an emergency landing due to mechanical failure.

The airplane dug into the ground, damaging its nose.

The pilot and his only passenger remained unhurt.

Small Plane Crash-Lands in Spain; 1 Killed, 1 Injured

microlightA micro-light plane made a crash-landing in an orange orchard near the runway of Seville Airport, Spain, on August 23rd.

The aircraft crash-landed after the pilot lost consciousness mid-air and his wife, with “no notion” of flying a plane, had to take charge.

The flight was heading towards Coria del Rio from Trebujena, at the time.

The pilot lost his life while his wife sustained serious injuries.

Small planeA single-engine plane had to make an emergency landing in Kiskiminetas River, near Saltsburg, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, on August 23.

Authorities said the pilot decided to make an emergency landing after the aircraft developed mechanical problems and started losing fuel pressure.

chopperA chopper, belonging to the 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, made an emergency landing near Camp Humphreys, located close to South Korea’s Anjeong-ri and Pyeongtaek metropolitan areas, on August 24.

The OH –58 Kiowa Warrior helicopter was on a routine maintenance flight around the camp when it had to land in emergency.

Both pilots sustained minor injuries.

Planes Carrying Parachutists Collide over Western Slovakia; 7 Killed, 31 Injured

Two L-410 turbo-prop aircrafts collided mid-air near Cerveny Kamen village of western Slovakia, on August 20th.

The accident happened when the planes were carrying 34 parachutists who were rehearsing for an air show in Slavnica.

Seven people, including 3 parachutists and 4 pilots, were killed in the crash while 31 parachutists managed to survive by jumping off the planes.

According to the airline, “Alitalia flight AZ2016 from Rome to Milan Linate, scheduled on 8.00 am this morning, went through an extraordinary and violent hailstorm soon after taking off from Fiumicino airport… Therefore, the pilots decided to head to Naples airport.”

The plane landed safely and all 110 passengers remained uninjured.

Bird-Hit IndiGo Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Ahmedabad

IndiGo Airlines IndiGo flight 6E-158 had to make an emergency landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, on August 20.

The plane departed for Delhi at 6:15 a.m. but had to declare an emergency at 6:30 a.m. due to a bird strike.

The plane safely landed. There were 143 passengers and 6 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

According to an airline spokesperson, “An inspection carried out by the on-ground engineering team revealed an engine fan blade was damaged beyond allowable limits. The aircraft was immediately withdrawn from service for maintenance at Ahmedabad airport. The aircraft became serviceable for operations at 1.30pm.”

Kruger National Park Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing

Three KNP officials were aboard the helicopter when it experienced engine failure and power loss, forcing the pilot to land in emergency. It is believed that they were helping an on-ground game capture team in search of 2 missing rhinos.

5 Killed as Planes Collided Mid-Air Near San Diego

A single-engine Cessna 172 and a twin-engine Sabreliner collided midair near Brown Field Municipal Airport in San Diego, California, at around 11 A.M. on August 16.

The accident happened near Otay Mesa Road and Harvest Street when both aircrafts were approaching Brown Field Municipal Airport.

Five people were killed in the crash. Their identities are not known at the moment.

8 Seriously Injured as UN Helicopter Makes Emergency Landing in Sudan

HelicopterA helicopter, working for the UN-AN peacekeeping mission in Darfur, made an emergency landing in Saraf Omra, North Darfur, Sudan, on August 16.

The incident happened when the helicopter was flying from El Fasher, North Darfur. According to a spokesperson “A UNAMID helicopter, an Mi-8, carrying 18 passengers and three crew on board made an emergency landing approximately 100 metres” (yards) from the helipad at a base belonging to the mission at Saraf Omra in North Darfur.”

Eight people sustained serious injuries in the incident while others sustained minor injuries. They were shifted to Saraf Omra base for medical aid.

Small Plane Crashed onto Long Island Rail Road Tracks; 1 Killed, 1 Injured

madridcrashA Hawker Beechcraft BE35 plane crashed onto Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) tracks at the crossing between Hicksville and Bethpage stations on Long Island, New York, on August 16.

The plane was heading from Francis S. Gabreski Ariport, Westhampton Beach to Morristown when the pilot reported difficulty in maintaining altitude. Authorities said he was attempting to make an emergency landing at Republic Airport, Farmingdale but could not make it to there.

The pilot was killed in the crash while his only passenger, identified as Carl Giordano, 55, of New Vernon, New Jersey, sustained injuries. He was taken to Nassau County University Medical Center.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

The pilots declared medical emergency after a female elderly passenger died on-board. The Amsterdam-bound B787 Dreamliner had just taken off from Toronto Pearson International Airport at the time.

According to public information officer for Ottawa Paramedic Service J.P. Trottier, “The person had no vital signs on board… There were some doctors on board and CPR was started. Upon landing, paramedics took over with other treatments, but she was declared deceased.”

Trigana Air Service Flight 267 Reported crashed into Mountain

Trigana Air Service 267 took off from Sentani Airport in Jayapura and was scheduled to land in Oksibil at 3:16 p.m. It did not arrive at its destination. Local villagers reported seeing the plane crash into a mountain in the Okbape district of Pegunungan Bintang Municipality in Papua. There were 49 passengers and 5 crew aboard the domestic flight. The search was cancelled due to weather conditions and nightfall.

Originally owned by Resort Air and Trans States Airlines as N421TE, the 27-year-old ATR-42 turboprop had a wheel separation incident in its history before it began flying for Trigana.

Ryanair Jet Diverted to Dublin Airport After Passenger Fell Sick Mid-Air
