LAM Plane Overruns the Runway while Landing in Mozambique

LAM Mozambique Airlines flight TM-156 overran the runway at Nampula Airport, Nampula, Mozambique, on December 19. The Boeing 737-700 was flying from Maputo, Mozambique, to Nampula, when it slid over the runway end as a result of heavy rain. The plane received no damage. All passengers aboard remained unhurt. SriLankan Airlines flight UL-125 had to stop at runway 25 of Chennai International Airport, India, on September 10. The Airbus A330-200, en-route from Colombo, Sri Lanka, to Chennai, had to be stopped before reaching the apron due to over-heated hydraulic system. The plane landed uneventfully.
