Two Killed After Small Plane Crashes in Wisconsin

A small plane crashed near Fort Atkinson Municipal Airport, Wisconsin, on August 8th.

The plane was carrying two people when it crashed into the Rock River.

Both occupants of the plane were killed in the crash. The deceased include a 61-year-old man and his 16-year-old son.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Endeavor Air Flight Makes Emergency Landing due to Flaps Problem

Endeavor Air flight 9E-3682 made an emergency landing in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on April 28th.

The plane flying from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was on approach to Green Bay when the crew reported an issue with the flaps and went around.

The plane landed safely on second approach. There were 48 passengers and 3 crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

Small Plane Crashed at Capitol Airport; WI

A small plane crashed while taking off from Capitol Airport in Brookfield, Wisconsin, on January 4th.

The plane went down when the pilot, his wife, and their infant son were traveling to Virginia.

The pilot and his wife were injured in the crash. They were taken to Froedtert Hospital.

The baby remained unharmed but was also taken to Children’s Hospital as a precaution.

The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Sauk County

A small plane made an emergency landing on U.S. Highway 12 in Sauk County, Wisconsin, on December 28th.

The pilot, Stephan Arnold, 69, of Madison, was forced to land on the highway after the plane lost power.

The pilot and his only passenger remained unharmed.

The plane was flying from Sauk-Prairie Airport in Prairie Du Sac, Wisconsin, at the time.

Pilot Injured after Small Plane Crashes in Wisconsin

A small plane crashed in the town of Mukwa in Waupaca County, Wisconsin, on November 6th.

The plane went down on Faskell Road, near the runway of a private airport Poppy’s Flying Acres.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was injured in the accident and was taken to a hospital in New London.

Sgt. Kevin Studzinski of the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said the neighbors had pulled the pilot out of the aircraft. “The plane is considered a total loss, but that’s not what’s important… Due to their heroic actions the pilot is still alive today,” he said.

A small plane crashed in Marion town, Waushara County, Wisconsin, on March 12th.

Authorities said the plane lost power before it went down in a marsh near 21st Court.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was injured. He was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

A small plane made an emergency landing in a field in Jefferson County, Wisconsin, on December 27.

Authorities said the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing after his single engine Series SR22 plane, which took off from Watertown Airport, developed some engine issues.

Deputies found the plane in a plowed corn field near Aliceton Drive and Ceasar Road in Watertown.

The 67-year-old pilot, who was the only one aboard, sustained non life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Aurora Hospital in Waukesha.

A small plane crashed off of County Road K and Church St. in Waukechon, Shawano County, Wisconsin, on the morning of November 15.

Authorities said the plane, carrying a pilot instructor and a student, went down in a farm field.

Both occupants of the plane were injured and were shifted to ThedaCare Health Center, Shawano.

The cause of crash is being investigated.

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Dane County Field

A Cessna 172 plane made an emergency landing in a field in Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin, on October 3.

Air traffic controllers said the pilot reported engine issues before it lost communication and made an emergency landing. The plane was flying from Montevideo, Minnesota at the time.

The 30-year-old pilot, and his only passenger, remained unhurt.

The aircraft was able to take off again and safely landed at Middleton Municipal Airport.

Pilot Killed as Crop Dusting Plane Crashed in Waushara County

Crop dusting planeA crop dusting aircraft crashed in a wooded area near Hancock, Waushara County, Wisconsin, on August 26.

The Weatherly 620B single-engine aircraft was spraying a potato farm when it crashed.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed the spot. His identity has not yet been released.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating.

Single-Engine Plane Cashed in Wisconsin; 2 Killed

fireA single-engine plane crashed at Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on the evening of July 29.

Milwaukee County sheriff’s office spokesperson Fran McLaughlin said the plane caught fire after hitting the ground.

The plane was heading to Marquette University in Milwaukee, at the time.

The occupants of the plane, identified as Joseph Trustey, 53, and his daughter Anna Trustey, 18, lost their lives in the crash.

The NTSB and the FAA are investigating.

United Express Plane Returns to Milwaukee due to Engine Issue

United ExpressUnited Express flight 5393, operated by SkyWest Airlines, had to return and make an emergency landing at General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 28.

According to SkyWest Airlines, the plane had to return after the pilots noticed an engine issue. The flight was heading to Chicago, Illinois, at the time.

The plane landed uneventfully and all 41 passengers aboard remained safe.

Single-Engine Beechcraft Crashed in Polk County; 4 Dead

A single-engine Beechcraft plane crashed in a field in Alden, Polk County, Wisconsin, at around 5:30 P.M. on July 27.

The 1959-model plane, flying from New Richmond Regional Airport, Wisconsin, caught fire after hitting the ground, burning the surrounding fields.

All 4 people aboard were burnt to death. The pilot was identified as Daniel P. Ortner, 44, while the passengers were identified as Eric J. Larson, 47, and his 2 sons Michael J. Larson, 20, and Matthew E. Larson, 18.

The plane was owned by St. Croix Bonanza Association.
