A small plane crashed in a hay field in Ascension Parish, Louisiana, on August 17th. Authorities said the Beechcraft Bonanza plane had lost power shortly after taking off from Louisiana Regional Airport. There were two people aboard at the time; both of them remained uninjured. A small Cessna crashed into Lake Pontchartrain near the New Orleans Lakefront Airport, New Orleans, Louisiana, on the night of August 27th.
