High-Ranking Saudi Prince Dies in Helicopter Crash

A helicopter carrying a Saudi prince and seven government officials crashed in Asir province of Saudi Arabia, on November 5th. The incident happened when Prince Mansour bin Muqrin, the deputy governor of Asir province, was conducting an aerial inspection of local infrastructure projects near Abha. Egypt Air Flight Returns to Saudi Arabia due to Smoke in Cockpit

Egypt Air flight MS-640 had to return for an emergency landing in Medina, Saudi Arabia, on August 4th. The Airbus A330-200 plane took off for Cairo, Egypt, but had to return shortly afterwards after the crew noticed smoke in the cockpit. The plane landed safely. Nesma Airlines flight NE-154 overran the end of runway in Abha, Saudi Arabia, on April 28th. The incident happened after the Airbus A320-200 plane flying from Cairo, Egypt, landed during thunderstorms. The plane was towed to the apron. Everyone aboard remained unharmed. The Airbus A330-300 plane heading from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Chennai, India, was diverted due to indication of a landing gear problem. The plane landed uneventfully.
