A light aircraft crashed shortly after taking off from Malta International Airport, Malta, on October 24th. The Fairchild Metroliner was carrying military officers on a surveillance mission on behalf of the French government, at the time. ASL Airlines Belgium flight 3V-587 made an emergency landing in, Malta, on August 24th. The cargo plane was flying from Tunis, Tunisia, when the crew reported issues with the nose gear.
