Air Tahiti Plane Diverts to Raiatea due to Smoke on Board

Air Tahiti flight VT-418 had to divert and make an emergency landing at Raiatea Airport, French Polynesia, on July 24th.

The Avions de Transport Regional ATR-72-212A flying from Bora Bora to Papeete in French Polynesia had to divert due to smoke on board.

The plane landed safely.

All 60 passengers and 4 crew members remained safe.

Air Tahiti Plane Makes Emergency Landing in French Polynesia

air tahitiAir Tahiti flight VT-933 made an emergency landing in Papeete, French Polynesia, on June 5th.

The plane was flying from Tubuai, French Polynesia, when the crew received an overheat indication for one of the engines and needed to shut it down.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

Air Tahiti Emergency Landing

Jam 14, 2013, at 20:18:00, an Air Tahiti ATR with 53 passengers aboard was en route from Papeete to Ralatea when an engine caught fire.

The pilot shut down the affected engine and made a safe landing in Papeete. Emergency services were on standby and put out the fire.
