Polar Air Cargo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Leipzig

Polar Air Cargo flight PO-963 had to return and make an emergency landing in Leipzig, Germany, on May 10th.

The Boeing 747-400 plane took off for Seoul, South Korea, but had to turn back after the crew received indication of an issue with equipment cooling.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

United Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Newark

United Airlines flight UA-956 had to return and make an emergency landing in Newark, New Jersey, on June 12th.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Geneva, Switzerland, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an equipment cooling issue.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

The plane was a replacement for the original aircraft assigned for the flight, which had returned earlier due to loss of cabin pressure.

Update on United 777 Diversion to Henderson Field Airport Midway Atoll.

United Airlines revealed what went wrong on Flight 201.

A problem with the equipment supply cooling fan on board the Boeing 777 caused the problems which required the pilots to divert to Midway to land there in the dark. The passengers waited in a gym until the replacement flight arrived.

The plane that flew in to Midway to pick up the passengers also brought parts and a repair crew. The plane with the bad fan was fixed, and returned from Midway Island back to San Francisco.

In fact, it was returned to service.

Now we’d like to hear about the passengers getting their luggage back.
