Bird-Hit UPS Plane Makes Safe Landing in Rockford, IL

UPS flight 5X-555 made a safe landing following a bird strike near Rockford, Illinois, on October 9th. The Boeing 757-200 plane flying from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was on approach to Rockford when a bird hit it. The plane continued for a safe landing. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed. Air Cargo Carriers flight 2Q-1260 crashed into the trees left to the runway of Yeager Airport, Charleston, West Virginia, on May 5th. The Short SD-330 flying on behalf of UPS went down the hill after hitting the trees. All 2 crew members aboard lost their lives in the crash. The incident is under investigation.... »
