Omni Air International Flight Makes Emergency landing at Shannon Airport

Omni Air InternationalOmni Air International flight EI-135 made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport, Ireland, on June 26th.

The Boeing 767-200 plane, took off for Boston, Massachusetts, but had to turn back after the crew detected an air speed indication issue.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Why: While en route over the Atlantic, the plane developed engine trouble and the crew shut down an engine and dumped fuel. The flight returned to Shannon, and made a safe landing (minus an engine).
