Luxair Flight Returns to Luxembourg due to Flaps Problem

Luxair flight LG-6551 made an emergency landing in Luxembourg, on September 2nd.

The plane took off for Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport, Italy, but had to return shortly afterwards due to an issue with the flaps.

The plane landed uneventfully. Everyone aboard remained safe.

Luxair Plane makes Safe Landing in London after Missing Panel

LuxairLuxair flight LG-4605 made a hard safe landing at London City Airport, London, UK, on November 25.

The de Havilland Dash 8-400, flying from Luxembourg, had a panel missing from one of its engines.

The plane landed safely.

No one was injured.

Luxair Plane Crash-Lands in Germany; No Injuries Reported

LuxairLuxair flight LG 9562 had to return and make a gear-up landing at Saarbrücken airport, Germany, on September 30.

Authorities said the pilots of the Luxembourg-bound Bombardier Q400 aircraft decided to abort take off due to a cabin fire warning. The plane then landed on its underbelly because apparently the landing gear failed to deploy.

There were 16 passengers and 4 crew members aboard at the time; none of them was hurt.

According to an airline spokesperson, the passengers were transported to Luxembourg by road.

The FAA was investigating.

Who: 128 passengers
Why: While en route, the plane developed flap problems.

Pilots diverted to Fuerteventura and made a safe landing.

What: Luxair de Havilland Dash 8-400 en route from Saarbruecken to Munich
Where: 70 passengers
When: Feb 24 2010
Who: 70 passengers
Why: After takeoff, the plane was struck by lightning.

The lighting strike is probably the reason why an engine failed. The flight diverted to Luxembourg where it made a safe landing, and where they were able to arrange repairs.

Passengers were provided overnight hotel accommodations, and scheduled to fly to Munich the next day.
