Icelandair flight FI-441 made an emergency landing in Glasgow, Scotland, on January 14th.

The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Manchester, England, to Keflavik, Iceland, was diverted due to a burning odor in the cabin.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained safe.

Icelandair Flight Makes Emergency Landing at East Midlands Airport

Icelandair flight FI-746 made an emergency landing at East Midlands Airport, England, on September 20th.

The Boeing 757-200 plane flying from Keflavik, Iceland, was descending toward East Midlands Airport when the crew noticed an issue with the flaps and entered a hold.

The plane subsequently landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Icelandair Plane Rejects Take-off in Iceland due to Faulty Anti-Ice System

Icelandair flight FI-352 rejected taking-off at Keflavík International Airport, Iceland, on July 6th.

The Boeing 757-200 en-route to Helsinki, Finland, was about to take-off because of some fault with its anti-ice system.

The plane returned safely to the apron.

No one was injured.

Icelandair Flight Diverts to Boston due to Smell of Rubber in Aft Cabin

Icelandair flight FI-828 had to divert and make an emergency landing in Boston, Massachusetts, on May 30th.

The Boeing 757-200 plane heading from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Keflavik, Iceland, was diverted after a strong smell of rubber was noticed in the aft cabin.

The plane landed safely. All passengers and crew members remained unharmed.

Icelandair Plane Returns to Iceland due to Gear Issue

IcelandairIcelandair flight FI-631 had to return and make a safe emergency landing at Keflavik International Airport, Keflavik, Iceland, on May 21st.

The Boeing 767-300, en-route to Boston, Massachusetts, was climbing out of Keflavik’s runway when the crew detected retraction issue with the gear, prompting the plane to return.

The plane landed safely. All people onboard remained unharmed.

The passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

Icelandair Plane Returns Massachusetts after Gear Problem

IcelandairIcelandair flight FI-630 had to return and make an emergency landing at Boston Logan International Airport, Boston, Massachusetts, on May 16th.

The Boeing 767-300, en-route to Keflavik, Iceland, had to return after the crew failed to retract its gear.

The plane landed uneventfully.

All 263 people onboard remained unharmed.

The pilot of Boeing 757-200 plane, flying from Keflavik, Iceland, declared emergency due to a problem with the flaps.

The plane landed safely. Everyone aboard remained unhurt.

Why: After being delayed by a wheel falling off, and burning off fuel for hours on May 19, 2012, the Icelandair flight had to return to Reykjavik, where they made an emergency landing one wheel short and left a trail of smoke. A replacement flight delivered about 200 passengers to Sanford International Airport in Orlando at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday.
