ANA Flight Makes Emergency Landing in China

All Nippon Airways flight NH-924 had to return and make an emergency landing in Guangzhou, China, on November 2nd.

The Boeing 767-300 plane took off for Tokyo, Japan, but had to turn back after mist appeared in the cockpit and the cabin.

The plane landed safely. There were one hundred and sixty-three passengers and ten crew members aboard at the time; all of them remained unharmed.

All Nippon Airlines Plane Returns to Japan after Smoke in Cabin

All Nippon Airways flight NH-435 had to return and make an emergency landing at Chubu Centrair International Airport, Nagoya, Japan, on September 18th.

The Boeing 737-500 flying to Fukuoka, Japan, had to return due to burning odor in the cabin.

The plane landed safely.

All 126 passengers and 5 crew members remained safe.

ANA Flight Returns to Narita Airport Due to Engine Vibrations

ANAAll Nippon Airways flight NH-829 made an emergency landing at Narita International Airport, Japan, on August 30th.

The plane took off for Mumbai, India, but had to return shortly afterwards due to vibrations in left engine.

The plane landed uneventfully. There were 68 people aboard at the time; all of them remained safe.

The airline arranged a replacement plane for the passengers.

All Nippon Airways Plane Rejects Takeoff in Japan after Engine Failure

ANAAll Nippon Airways flight NH-959 rejecting taking-off at Narita International Airport, Narita, Japan, on August 14th.

The Boeing 787-800 was accelerating the takeoff for Shanghai, China, when its left side engine failed with a loud bang.

The plane returned to the apron.

All 240 passengers were accommodated in a replacement plane.

What: ANA All Nippon Airways Airbus A320-200 en route from Osaka Itami to Sendai
Where: Sendai
When: Feb 5th 2012
Who: 166 aboard
Why: The Airbus was landing when a sudden gust of wind caused pilots to abort the landing, and leaving scrapes of white paint on the runway.

While performing the go-around, the tail of the plane struck the runway. Pilots circled and made a second approach, which resulted in a safe landing.

Damage to the underside of the tail was significant, and the bulkhead was also damaged The local weather service did not have any indication of wind, and the investigation is underway.

What: ANN All Nippon Network de Havilland Dash 8-400 en route from Osaka Itami to Niigata
Where: Itami Airport, Japan
When: Dec 8th 2009
Who: 22 on board
Why: After takeoff, the plane could not retract the gear. The crew decided to return to Itami Airport where it made a safe landing. Passengers were provided an alternative flight to Niigata.
