A military helicopter crashed near El-Sheikh Gebyeel Military Airport, Abi Hamad, Al-Sharqeya, Egypt, on September 19th. The helicopter was carrying two pilots, both of whom were killed in the crash. Sky One Airways helicopter had to divert and make an emergency landing in Nagaon, Assam, India, on September 15th. A 12-seater helicopter crashed at the National Youth Service (NYS) engineering institute near Mathare, Nairobi, Kenya, on September 8th. The helicopter carrying 4 people was on routine patrol when it developed a mechanical problem. All 4 people suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash. The injured were taken to hospital. The incident happened when the TH 57 training helicopter from Naval Air Station Whiting Field was carrying a student and an instructor.
