Small Plane Crashes in Florida due to Mechanical Issue

A small plane crashed into a marshy area near Orlando Apopka Airport, Orange County, Florida, on the night of December 30th.

The Cessna 400 had to abort its landing after spotting a deer on the runway. The plane faced mechanical issue after turning around.

The plane sustained significant damage.

The 61-year old pilot was taken to a nearby hospital for first aid.

Plane Crash in Central Kenya Leaves 10 Dead

A small plane crashed in a mountainous area in central Kenya, on June 5th.

The wreckage of the Cessna plane, belonging to FlySAX airline, was found in the Aberdare forest.

There were ten people aboard at the time, including two pilots and eight passengers. All of them were killed in the crash.

The plane was heading from Kitale to Nairobi, Kenya, at the time.

2 People, Dog Killed in Small Plane Crash in California

A small plane crashed in Santee, San Diego County, California, on February 6th.

The Cessna 182 Skylane plane, carrying two people and a pair of dogs, went down shortly after taking off from the Gillespie Field Airport.

Both people and one of the dogs aboard the plane were killed in the crash.

Authorities found the wreckage in an industrial area adjacent to Gillespie Field Airport.

Pilot Killed after Small Plane Crashes in California

A Cessna 152 plane crashed in Concord, California, on January 29th.

The incident happened shortly after the plane took off from Buchanan Field Airport.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as Christopher Rampoldt, 69, of Martinez.

Cape Air flight 1815 made an emergency landing at Adirondack Regional Airport in Franklin County, New York, on August 25th.

A light plane crashed near the Renmark Aerodrome, Old Calperum, South Australia, on the evening of May 30th.

The Cessna 441 Conquest II was on a routine crew check flight at the time.

All three pilots were killed in the crash.

The decreased were identified as Paul Daw, 65, Martin Scott, 48, and Stephen Guerin, 56.

Four Killed After Small Plane Crashed in Blount County, Alabama

A Cessna 210 plane crashed in Hayden, Blount County, Alabama, on March 25th.

Authorities said the plane was heading from Kissimmee, Florida, to Jackson, Tennessee, when it went down.

Four people were killed in the crash, including a 45-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman,
a 16-year-old boy, and a 14-year-old girl. They are believed to be family members.

The passengers had been to the Cleveland Cavaliers game. Coast guard Search and Rescue is searching the lake.

The plane is registered to Maverick Air and operated by Superior Beverage Group. The plane lived in a hangar at The Ohio State University airfield.

Weather conditions make the search difficult.

Pilot Killed after Small Plane Crashes in Alaska

A small plane crashed near the town of Butte in Alaska, on October 29th.

Authorities said the Cessna 172 plane crashed into a Knik River gravel bar.

The pilot, who was the only one aboard, was killed in the crash. He was identified as 25-year-old Ray Justen.

According to Alaska National Transportation Safety Board chief Clint Johnson, “Witnesses said this airplane came in, made a touch-and-go on a gravel bar and during a fairly steep climb out there was an aerodynamic stall…The airplane descended nose-first and struck the gravel bar.”

Small Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Alaska

A small plane made an emergency landing on train tracks in South Anchorage, Alaska, on October 30th.

The pilot of the Cessna 185 plane said he was forced to make an emergency landing after the engine stopped working shortly after taking off from Flying Crown Airport, Anchorage.

The pilot and his only passenger remained safe.

The plane was not damaged.
