The missing Ace Air Cargo/Alaska Central Express Beech 1900 freight flight from King Salmon to Dillingham was located wrecked twenty miles from the airport in Muklung Hills.
At about 9:15 a.m., an emergency locator beacon had begun transmitting a signal.
The plane crashed in rough terrain in stormy weather. The two aboard were reported as fatalities.

March 6, 2013, a flight chartered by Minera Aurifera Retamas SA to carry employees to a job, crashed. The flight had taken off at 6:28 a.m.. The Aero Transporte SA Beechcraft B200 King Air was en route from Lima-Jorge Chavez International to Pias Airport when it crashed near Matibamba Peru in Quebada Caipa.
Nine people were aboard—2 crew and 7 passengers. There were no survivors.
The crash site was difficult to access. The plane crashed during bad weather, and struck power lines. Victims bodies have not been identified.

On March 2, 2013, a Beechcraft 58 Baron in Tefe, Brazil crashed on takeoff six feet from the end of the runway.
Three people were aboard the flight. There were no fatalities or injuries but there was damage to the engine and the propellers.
The investigation was initiated by the Seventh Regional Service and Prevention of Aeronautical Accidents (Seripa VII). The report should be done in three months.
The pilot said there was a problem in opening the aircraft door during early flight.
On Feb 14, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., a Beechcraft A60 Duke was en route from Fort Smith to Abilene when it ran out of fuel. The pilot, Frank LeRoy Bell, 75 attempted to divert to Elmdale Airpark but had to make an emergency landing. He tried to land in a blowed field but landed instead in a rough pasture where the plane sustained damage. No passengers were aboard and Bell was able to walk away.
Emergency services responded as an in-flight emergency at Elmdale Airpark.

NTSB releases safety recommendations to Hawker Beechcraft Corporation addressing fatigue cracks of nose landing gear end caps on Beechcraft 1900D airplanes

The National Transportation Safety Board makes the following recommendations to Hawker Beechcraft Corporation:
Determine the fatigue life (life limit) of the Beechcraft 1900D nose landing gear (NLG) end cap with the longitudinal grain direction both aligned and not aligned with the longitudinal axis of the NLG. (A-13-004)
Develop and implement a replacement program for all Beechcraft 1900D nose landing gear end caps based on the fatigue life determined in Safety Recommendation A-13-004. (A-13-005)
Revise the Beechcraft 1900D nose landing gear end cap repetitive inspection procedure and time interval to ensure that fatigue cracks are detected prior to failure and issue updated guidance to operators regarding the inspections. (A-13-006)

On Feb 2, 2013, a privately owned Beechcraft 58 Baron with six aboard crashed in the Gulf of Cariaco, Venezuela.
The flight had taken off from Puerto Ordaz Airport and was en route to DelCaribe Gen S Marino Airport but suffered a complete loss of engine power. The pilot declared an emergency due to failures in both engines.
Fishermen found the plane located 15 nautical miles (28 km) east of Cumana in the Gulf of Cariaco.
Two of the passengers were reported to be minors.
There was one fatality, a sixty-two year old woman, Vetide Ramos, who died in the crash. Five survivors were brought ashore in a boat, including Ruben Herrera, Poztty Ramos, Jose Ramos, Ivan Herrera (a minor) and pilot Jhonatan Mata.
At 2:30 pm on Feb 3, 2013, a Beechcraft C90B King Air en route from Maringá to Congonhas was over Cândido Mota, São Paulo when it crashed in Água do Macuco, the Water Macuco, traditional producer of soybeans and cassava.. Residents heard a loud bang as the plane flew close to a neighborhood, circling, then fell into a soybean field. Three women and two men died, including the 58 year old pilot. Fuel outside the tank seemed to indicate to investigators that the pilot had dumped fuel. Just before the crash, the pilot had informed the tower of Curitiba (PR) that would make a forced landing at Assisi State Airport.
The fatalities included Elizete Piveta and her daughter, Leticia Piveta Assumption, Leticia’s fiance José Eduardo Ermírio de Moraes, pilot Luis Henrique Marcondes, 58 and co-pilot, his wife Luciana Souza Aguiar da Costa.
Rescue teams from Assisi and Marília assisted at the scene.
Six passengers of the October 2011 crash listed below have filed suit against Northern Thunderbird Air. The pilot and co-pilot, Luc Fortin and Matt Robic died shortly after the crash. Seven passengers were rescued six of whom are listed in the suit. Prior to takeoff, passengers informed the crew they saw oil under the wing. After takeoff, the pilot told the passengers he would be returning because oil was pouring from the wing.
The helicopter hit a lamp post, a car and smashed up on the road. An additional part of the suit is that the plane lacked an electrical cutoff switch to reduce fire threat.
NTSB Report: On October 27, 2011, about 1600 pacific daylight time, a Beechcraft King Air 100, C-GXRX, operated by Northern Thunderbird Air, Inc. collided with terrain while attempting to land at the Vancouver International Airport, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and an instrument flight rules flight plan was in effect. The airplane sustained substantial damage, and a postcrash fire ensued. The pilot was killed. The copilot, seven passengers, and two people on the ground were seriously injured. The accident investigation is under the jurisdiction and control of the Canadian government.
On January 24, 2013, a Central Flying Services Inc Beechcraft A36 Bonanza en route from Beaumont Municipal to Monroe Regional Airport was on approach to Monroe when it crashed for unknown reasons. Four minutes before the crash, the pilot told ATC of problems with the plane’s landing gear. ATC lost contact with the plane at 1:49 p.m. The plane crashed eight miles from the airport. Witnesses saw the plane circle and nosedive into the woods.
The plane impacted behind Ouachita Correctional Center in Richwood. The manifest says Dean Hart Sr. of West Monroe, owner of Hart Commercial Investments, and Max Larche of Bastrop, engineer with Lazenby & Associates in West Monroe and Don Thompson of Monroe were passengers aboard the flight. The three businessmen were returning from a business trip to Beaumont.
The pilot was also a fatality.
Emergency services included police and fire firefighters, firefighters on ATV. Firefighters relied on fire extinguishers to put out the blaze.

According to the NtSB Preliminary report of the Beech crash on December 18, 2012, about 0002 mountain standard time (MST), a Beech B100, N499SW, collided with trees at Libby, Montana. Stinger Welding was operating the airplane under the provisions of 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 91. The noncertificated pilot and one passenger sustained fatal injuries; the airplane sustained substantial damage from impact forces. The cross-country personal flight departed Coolidge, Arizona, about 2025 MST on December 17th, with Libby as the planned destination. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the nearest official reporting station of Sandpoint, Idaho, 264 degrees at 46 miles, and an instrument flight rules (IFR) flight plan had been filed.
On January 4, 2013, a Beechcraft BE35 developed a vibration problem, reported an emergency. The pilot was diverting to Flagler County Airport when the plane crashed into a house a mile from the airport.
Three people aboard the flight died. Three people were inside the Palm Coast Florida house, but they were not trapped inside the building.
On December 19, 2012, a Stringer Welding Inc Beechcraft B100 King Air was en route to Libby Area Airport when it crashed in William’s Gulch, Swede Mountain, MT killing the pilot and a passenger.
A witness living on Swede Mountain heard the plane when it impacted.
National Transportation Security Board officials and Search and Rescue found the crashed plane heavily damaged after a difficult search in bad weather. Search and rescue members snow-mobiled into the area, used hand-held Emergency Locator Transmitters (ELT) to find the wreckage. The beacon was found intact.
The plane had been piloted by Carl Douglas, CEO of Stinger Welding Inc. The passenger was John Smith, a Stinger company driver. Their recovery is pending weather conditions.

What: O’Neal Aviation LLC Beechcraft E90 King Air en route from Amarillo to Fort Worth Where: Armstrong County Texas When: Dec 14, 2012 Who: pilot Why: The pilot was en route and ten minutes into the flight when he lost control.Witnesses saw the plane go down south of Farm-to-Market Road 1258 in Armstrong County.
The pilot was killed. The plane disappeared from radar at 6 pm. The debris field was located on Dec 14.
What: Beechcraft B55 Baron Colemill Where: Chaco Boreal, Paraguay When: Nov 16, 2012 Who: 3 aboard, 3 fatalities Why: When the Asunción Department of Search and Rescue received a Com satellite alert that a plane fell out of the sky, they sent a National Police helicopter to locate the wreckage. No fire, explosion or fuel was found at the crash site, so respondents speculate that the plane ran out of fuel.
Three people were killed when the small plane they were in fell in Chaco Boreal, Paraguay. Pilot José Bobadilla was reported to be an experienced pilot.
Germán Ruiz, the owner of the Rural Association confirmed that the fatalities were José Bobadilla, Ricardo Serrati and Luis Griffith. The plane’s owner was Miguel Zavala.
The bodies of Bobadilla, Serrati and Griffith were picked up by Air Force Helicopter and transported to Asunción.
What: Herman Hassinger Architects Beechcraft A36 Bonanza en route from Nashua to Laconia Where: Hooksett, New Hampshire When: Oct 25, 2012 1:30 pm Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities Why: According to reports, the single-engine Beechcraft hit a light pole alongside I-93 northbound.
The two aboard, Husband and wife Herman and Doris Hassinger, were on their way to a board of trustees meeting at a New Hampton boarding school, and died when the plane crashed on to the shoulder and guard rail after glancing off the pole.
Herman Hassinger was ejected into the woods about 25 yards from the plane.
The plane sustained heavy front-end damage. The debris included parts fallen from the light pole and about six feet of the plane’s wing.
The Bureau of Aeronautics, FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will be investigating.
What: NSW Air Ambulance A Beech King Air 350 (VH-NAO) o en route from Sydney to Wagga Wagga Where: Sydney When: Oct 23, 2012 Who: 3 aboard Why: A patient, flight nurse and pilot were uninjured when an emergency developed aboard the flight.
The patient was being taken to Wagga Wagga when the plane had an undercarriage indication failure. The pilot returned to the airport and did a flyby for visual confirmation that the landing gear was not locked in place; and then made a safe landing at Sydney Airport in Mascot.
The elderly female passenger was transferred to an ambulance and driven to a hospital.

What: Beechcraft 55 Baron en route from Baytown TX to Sarasota FL Where: 28 miles east of South Pass in the Gulf of Mexico When: Sept. 20, 2012 Who: 2 aboard Why: After the International Emergency Response Coordination Center notified 8th Coast Guard District command center of a beacon alert, the search began.
Two men whose flight ditched were rescued after the Border Patrol spotted them adrift in the Gulf of Mexico. A Coast Guard MH-65C Dolphin helicopter was launched.
The pilot hit the water at an estimated 100 knots after the plane caught fire and the cockpit filled with smoke. The two men aboard survived the crash and three hours in the water.
Coast Guard helicopter pilot Lt. Becki Fosha said that “They had a limited time to bring the aircraft to the water and then they had about two minutes to get all of their survival gear together and get ready for a survival situation before the aircraft submerged…They had a GPS sport beacon. They had their current EPERB 406 beacon. They had floatation and survival equipment for just this kind of scenario…the men did a great job ditching the plane.”
Theodore Wright and Raymond Fosdick were pulled out of the Gulf and flown to Belle Chasse Naval Base. Fosdick was hospitalized at Ochsner Medical Center.

Dewberry Air LLC Beechcraft 400 en route from Charleston to Macon Where: Macon GA When: Sept 18 2012 10:05 Who: 3 aboard Why: The Beechcraft hydroplaned while landing during a downpour at Herbert Smart Airport, overran the runway, went over an embankment, crossed Oculgee East Blvd and stopped in the trees thirty yards from the runway. The businessman and quarterback who were aboard the plane were not hurt. They had flown in on a business trip on the Dewberry Air Corporation Jet, on a plane registered in Dover Delaware.
The pilot was pinned in the plane and had to be cut out was not seriously injured.
What: Beech A36 Bonanza en route from Chicago Executive Airport to Minocqua Where: Eagle lake Kansasville, Racine County, WI When: Sept 9, 2012 Who: 1 fatality Why: The pilot who had been en route from Chicago Executive Airport to Minocqua crashed into a Kansasville Wisconsin garage but avoided hitting any of the neighborhood houses in Eagle Lake. the plane, a garage, and two cars were destroyed; and two homes sustained damage. Debris and plane parts were scattered over the immediate area.
Witnesses say that when the plane hit, it shook the neighborhood.
The FAA and Racine County Sheriff’s Office are investigating.
What: Houston to Decatur Where: Decatur Municipal Airport When: Sept 6 2012, 10:30 a.m. Who: 4 aboard Why: No one was injured when Pilot Mark Moran made a hard landing in Decatur when returning a passenger from cancer treatment and surgery. Moran is an Angel Flight program pilot, providing free flights to sick people who cannot afford their treatments. Moran came in too fast and would have performed a go round but he didn’t feel he had enough lift to make it over powerlines at the end of the runway. He veered left off the end of the runway through a barbed wire fence. Fire crews sprayed down the leaked fuel.

What: Beechcraft A36TC Bonanza 36 en route from Albany Int’l Airport Where: Clifton Park, NY When: August 15, 2012, 7:30 a.m. Who: 2 aboard, 1 fatality, 1 injury Why: After taking off, the plane stalled 12 miles north of Albany. The plane crashed in a suburb. passenger Walter F. Uccellini and his business partner, Jim Quinn were aboard. Uccellini died in the crash; Quinn suffered head trauma and was hospitalized at Albany Medical Center.
The plane landed stopped between trees and did not strike any buildings. Quinn may have been attempting to land on the road. Before the land became a subdivision, it was an emergency landing field.
What: Beechcraft B60 Duke Where: Sedona Airport When: July 26, 2012 Who: 3 aboard, 3 fatalities Why: On takeoff, the Beechcraft failed to achieve adequate lift and crashed southwest of the airport. The husband and son of U.S. Olympic distance runner Pat Porter were aboard when the plane crashed. The third fatality was a 14 year old friend and classmate of the son.
The plane went straight past the end of the runway, crashed and sent up a black mushroom cloud on impact just before 9 a.m. At the end of the runway is a ravine (shown in the second video below) where the beechcraft impacted.
Witnesses say the plane’s engines appeared to be running normally. The cause of the crash was unclear.
What: Van Auto Inc Beech B36TC Bonanza en route from Bahamas to Florida Where: Grand Harbor Cay, Berry Islands Bahamas When: 16-JUL-2012 Who: 2 aboard, 2 fatalities Why: A Daytona Beach couple, Alan and Kathleen Van Nimwegen departed from Marsh Harbour International Airport about 9 am on Monday and went missing when they lost communications with aviation officials Monday afternoon. The couple regularly made the flight, usually on weekends.
Rescuers are searching Great Harbour Cay, Bahamas, near the Berry Islands where some debris and an oil sheen in the water has been sighted. They lived at a Spruce Creek Fly-In residence. Both were licensed pilots.
The flight is still missing, not to be confused with the Saturday crash of Bahaman pilot Kenneth Carey and passenger, Dexter Adderley en route from Fort Lauderdale to New Providence who crash-landed in Bimini.
What: N79TE LLC Beechcraft Beechjet 400A en route from Northeast Alabama Regional Airport to Jacksonville Florida Where: Peachtree Airport, GA When: June 18 2012, 10:00 a.m. Who: 2 crew, 2 passengers Why: After landing at the airport, the plane overran the runway, and avoided the barriers. The gear collapsed and the plane slid downhill, and stopped outside of the perimeter fence. There were minor injuries reported, and those aboard were hospitalized. The pilot sustained a head injury.
The injuries were described as non-fatal and moderate. There was no fire, though fuel did leak on to the runway and was contained. There are a couple of cracks on the fuselage.
