Air Canada Jet Crash Lands at Halifax Stanfield International Airport
The plane took off from Toronto and was attempting to landing at Halifax International Airport during a snow storm when it skidded off the runway.
There were 133 passengers and 5 crew members aboard at the time. The airline confirmed that 23 people were taken to hospital and that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
It is believed that the aircraft clipped a power line, resulting in power outage at the airport. However, the airport officials did not confirm this.
The cause of accident is under investigation.
